5th November 1938. View of the south side of York Road showing derelict buildings and advertising hoardings prior to slum clearance of the area. To the left of centre is the business of Arthur Lister, forage merchant, at no.22. On the far left, past the junction with Plaid Row, is the Fleece Inn.
