Stanningley Road, trams
21st May 1950. View showing two trams on Stanningley Road beside the Pavilion Cinema. On the left is no.245, a Horsfield built between 1930 and 1931, travelling on route 14. On the right is ex-Hull tram, no.482, on route 19.

User Comments:

The Pavilion cinema was the terminus for No 14 Half Mile Lane route. In earlier days this route terminated at Pudsey. Of all the photos of trams on this delightful sight it is the first time I have seen one displaying No 19. However No 19 was the Lower Wortley route via Oldfield Lane. Maybe a schoolboy prank, I know the feeling.
