Quarry Hill, aerial view
16th June 1999. Aerial photograph of Quarry Hill, formerly the site of Quarry Hill Flats, demolished in the mid 1970s. The area is now dominated by Quarry House, the Department of Health building opened in 1993, seen towards the top left. Also occupying the site are the West Yorkshire Playhouse, centre right, and the Leeds College of Music just above this. New York Road runs from top left to bottom centre, Easgate along the bottom and St. Peter's Street up the right hand side. The railway line runs across the top with York Street alongside.
