14th March 2007. View of the former High Royds Psychiatric Hospital seen during its conversion to a residential village. The building surrounded by scaffolding is the block comprising the Askrigg or Conistone ward and the Buckden ward. This is at the side of the hospital originally reserved for females only, to the right of the main administrative block.
