Description: 14th March 2007.
Image shows a painting of High Royds Hospital, probably made in the early days of the hospital, either late 19th century or early 20th century, when it was known as the West Riding Pauper Lunatic Asylum. The administration block with its clock tower is seen in the centre, with the wards and other buildings all around and surrounded by extensive grounds, neatly laid out.
