All Saints Church, Elland Road
October 1968. View of All Saints Church in Elland Road before the surrounding trees were removed. The church was consecrated on All Saints Day in 1901. It is the junior sister church of St. Peter's at the Prospect. It was the successor to the mission church which was in Morley Town Hall. Strictly speaking, Churwell is in Morley since the boundary line between the two runs down the middle of Elland Road and then turns right into the entrance below the church. Research by Ronnie Barraclough. Photographs from the David Atkinson Archive.
