View showing the former High Royds Psychiatric Hospital, originally built as the West Riding Pauper Lunatic Asylum in 1888, during its conversion to a residential village. This included the building of new houses, such as the ones shown here, as well as the conversion of the old institutional buildings, many of them Grade II listed.
