Yvonne Gascoigne at the crowning of the May Queen
Description:
Undated. Yvonne Gascoigne addresses the onlookers at the ceremony to crown the May Queen. For many years this duty had been performed by her Grandmother, Laura Gwendolin Gascoigne of Lotherton Hall. Yvonne, born in 1919, was the daugher of Sir Alvary Gascoigne of Lotherton Hall. Yvonne, born in 1919, was the daughter of Sir Alvary Gascoigne. Her brother, Douglas Wilder Gascoigne, was killed in action in 1944. Behind her, seated on the dais, is the May Queen surrounded by her attendants, all dressed in white.
