Black and white postcard view showing people gathered for a Rememberance Day Service, conducted by Canon Flower at the War Memorial, on the east side of the Great North Road, south of the village. The memorial is inscribed with the names of the 24 men who were killed in the Great War. The man in the uniform 2nd to the right of the memorial is E. Herbert Prater, agent to the Gascoigne family of Lotherton Hall. The names of the men killed in World War 2 were later added to the inscription.
