1940s. Coloured pen drawing by Eric B. Farr showing a bus waiting outside the Prospect Mill in Victoria Road during World War II. It is based on a photograph supplied by David Atkinson. A conductress stands outside the bus, which is an A.E.C. 'Regal/Weymann' single decker running on the '53' route to Leeds. It has the licence plate UG 1023. Image from the David Atkinson Archive.
