View of stone properties in Westerton Road, foreground, at the junction with Hollerton Lane, left. This area was known locally as Frost Corner as the row of cottages in Westerton Road was built by the Frost family. They managed the corner shop, the last proprietor being Miss Frost who lived until the 1960s. After that date the shop at 174-176 Westerton Road was run by Dennis Trafford who installed electric lighting to replace the original gaslights.
