This picture is actually taken opp 268 Belle Isle Road a bit further down from the Grey Goose at the junction of Middleton Road. The tram stop was situated between the two turning points in the centre of the carriageway. The tram service was later replaced by LCT bus service and a bus stop was installed at kerbside on the newly upgraded dual carriageway heading north to hunslet. I have a colour picture taken from same position looking towards city which I will upload for inclusion.
