Description:
1954. Image shows George Henry Kirk as he stands at the entrance of his greengrocery business at Greenthorpe. The single storey building is clad in corrugated iron and through the windows and open door boxes, crates and weighing scales are visible. Above the windows the sign reads, 'G.H. Kirk, Fruit and Vegetables. Mr. Kirk is wearing a white overall and dark apron. A telephone call box is seen at the left edge.

this is were william hill bookmaker's is now and to the left is were greenhill infants school was were me and my brother went.is there anybody out there who can remember this.
