Image taken at the opening of South Gipton Community Centre in Coldcotes Grove. The special guest was the Rt. Hon. Denis Healey M.P. who gave a speech praising the fund raising efforts of the local community (second from right). To the left of Mr. Healey is Suzi Armitage and standing facing him is Arthur Westerman. The new community centre was the result of a long campaign by local residents. It was founded in the former nursery unit of Wykebeck Primary School
