Description:
4th February 1984. In this image the Rt. Hon. Denis Healey M.P. is taking a shot on the brand new pool table at South Gipton Community Centre. He was there to open the new centre, which was in the former nursery unit of Wykebeck Primary School located in Coldcotes Grove. Denis Healey praised the local community who had raised £5,000 towards the cost of the centre. Pictured are, from left to right; Suzi Armitage, Margaret Clegg, Dennis Healey, Tony Ratchford, Fred Harris, Pat Walton, Mavis and Harry Emerson, Arthur Westerman, Annie Ripley and Peter Robinson.
