Description: c1926.
Postcard view of the Seven Arches Aquaduct, which shows a postmark of 1926 on the back. The aquaduct was built in 1837 to carry the water supply from Eccup Reservoir over Adel Beck on its way to the city centre. It was only in use for 24 years before it became inadequate for the needs of the city but it remained in place and became a popular tourist spot.
