Undated. Image shows a hopper wagon for transporting coal from Middleton Broom Colliery on the Middleton Railway. From 1960 to the 1980s thousands of tons of fabricated and scrap metal was also transported between Balm Road Goods Yard, Clayton's at Moor End and Robinson & Birdsell, Metal Merchants of Garnett Road.
