Description:
Undated. View of Middleton Broom Colliery in operation. It was the deepest of the Middleton pits at 810 feet (250 metres). It was also the last of the pits to go when it closed in 1968. Now the site of the Broom pit has been reclaimed and is part of Middleton Park.
