Station Road, Town End

Subject ID:
Subject Year:
Garforth Historical Society
Class number:
Station Road, Town End
Undated. View of Station Road at Town End looking east towards the railway station. Charles and Harold Seaton's coal merchant's business is on the left while the Miners Arms public house can be seen in the centre. Taken sometime around the early 20th century, it shows the beginnings of change in the world of transport; on the left a man is leading a horse and cart but on the right is a new motor car, probably still quite a novelty to the people gathered around on the path to see it.
