Railway station, from road bridge
Undated. View of Garforth station looking eastwards, seen from the road bridge which crosses the railway line, with the station buildings on the right. A footbridge in the foreground connects the two platforms. A train can be seen in the distance joining the main line from the link line connecting it to the private railway running between Sisters Pit and the Aberford Fly Line. This single track railway was built in the 1830s to carry coal from Garforth to Aberford.
