Town End, looking south-west

Subject ID:
Subject Year:

Class number:
Town End, looking south-west
Undated. A busy scene at Town End taken around the early 1900s. The view looks south-west and streets leading off are (from left) Station Road, Main Street, Wakefield Road and Barrowby Lane. Squire Backhouse can just be seen looking out over the half-door of his butcher's shop on the corner near the centre. The lady with hands on hips on the right is believed to be Mrs. Hebden of Station Road.
