Selby Road, West Garforth Farm House

Selby Road, West Garforth Farm House
Undated. View of the farmhouse at West Garforth Farm, situated on Selby Road close to the footpath to Goosefields. Owned at the time by Thomas Horner of Scholes, the farm's main crop was rhubarb, which they supplied to Covent Garden. The farm foreman was Henry Stringer, whose daughter, Gladys, is believed to be the small girl seen to the right of the door. Henry Stringer died in 1940.
