Oakwood Clock, watercolour painting by Pete Lapish
c1953. Tram scene at Oakwood Clock, a watercolour painted by Leeds artist Pete Lapish. It shows passengers boarding a tram on route 3 to Roundhay, left. The other tram is a number 1, destination Lawnsood. The Leeds trams of his boyhood are favourite subjects of Pete Lapish who has now retired to Scarborough. Some images by Pete Lapish are available to purchase as postcards or greetings cards from Leeds Visitor Centre - see our 'useful links' page.
