Garforth Parochial School, football team
c1931-32. Members of the football team of Garforth Parochial School are photographed with the Gascoigne Shield; this successful side also won the Barkston Ash Cup that season. Mr. Rayson, who was headmaster at the school between 1928 and 1947, is pictured second from left at the back. Other adults in the photo are Robert Scarlett, left, and Ernest Charlesworth, right. Pupils, from left, are believed to be : back row - Donald Tiffany, either Wilfred Warburton or Brian Wheldrick, George Thompson, Rex Mortimer and, in either order, Edward and Charles Scarlett; middle row - Reggie or Cliff Limbert, Billy Oldfield, Jack Shipton, Jim Nicholson; front row - Ernest and Harry Warburton.

My dad did play in this team he spoke off it often im sure it's him Brian Wheldrick second from left on back row he is no longer alive is sister who whould have known for sure is also no longer with us but my sister has some photos of him as a child and think she may have same as above with names of players on the back in order if this is case will let you know
