Description: Undated.
View shows a truck on the colliery fly-line, the single track railway that ran from the Garforth pits to the coal staithes at Aberford and access to the Great North Road. This truck was used to convey passengers before a proper passenger coach was purchased. At the same time two steam engines were bought to pull the trains along the line, replacing the previous system where the trucks would run by gravity downhill to Aberford then be towed back up to Garforth by a horse.
