All Souls Church, the Baptistry
Undated. View of the baptistry at All Souls Church in Blackman Lane. The font is made from marble with an ornately carved cover. It was presented to the church in 1891. The floor is patterned in marble mosaic. In the background are three lancet windows with stained glass. The stone-built church was designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott R.A. as a memorium to Dean Hook, vicar of Leeds between 1837 and 1859. It was consecrated on 29th January 1880.
