View of the Hark To Rover public house situated on Spen Lane opposite the junction with Ghyll Road. The building, dating from the 1950s, had originally been a parade of shops, but was converted into a public house by Cameron's breweries in 1963. It is here closed down and boarded up, with a 'For Sale' sign outside. An earlier pub bearing the same name had existed further down Spen Lane near the junction with Abbey Walk, near a row of cottages also called Hark to Rover.
