Spen Lane, Hark To Rover
1st January 2010. View of the Hark To Rover public house situated on Spen Lane opposite the junction with Ghyll Road. The building, dating from the 1950s, had originally been a parade of shops, but was converted into a public house by Cameron's breweries in 1963. It is here closed down and boarded up, with a 'For Sale' sign outside. An earlier pub bearing the same name had existed further down Spen Lane near the junction with Abbey Walk, near a row of cottages also called Hark to Rover.
