A wintry scene on Spen Lane showing the Hark To Rover public house, closed down and boarded up. Formerly a parade of shops, it opened up as a pub in 1963. The junction with Ghyll Road is just opposite. On the extreme right is Norman Towers, a multi-storey block of flats.
