Its a shame to see this old pub like this, this image hold's a lot of memories from the past for me in the 1940s just at the left hand side of the Albion there was a builders yard were I would go with my 'bogey' to get old railway sleepers for burning to help out with the coal ration' there is a wall in the left foreground behinde the bushes were all my mates from Green Lane School would gather after 'woofing' down our lunch to train spot, there was a doubleheader [ two steam engins ] which came down five day's a week In the 1960 I would meet some of my old mates at the Little Albion on a Friday evening and Sunday dinner before we took off for Wakefifld, I bet they will build some ugly shoebox on end were the pub stands, the last time I saw the Little Albion was from the the train on my way back to Otley Sep 2009.

My late stepfather Robert[jock] Barclay would rotate at great velocity where ever he is now if he could see his former second home so neglected. When we lived in Parliament Road we had the Victory club a few hundred yards away, the Scarborough/Castleton pubs nearby but he would go right to the Albion to booze with his mates.
