York Road, Shaftesbury Hotel
June 2008. View of the Shaftesbury Hotel at the junction of York Road and Harehills Lane, taken shortly before its demolition. Roof tiles have already been removed, and a 'For Sale' sign still hangs outside. Built on the site of the former St. Alban's vicarage, it had been a pub for over 70 years.

Terrance Watson.

My father and I ( including others )extended the cellar of the Shaftesbury around 1952-53.At the time there was a chocolate machine outside from the 40`s believe it or there was still chocolate in it, and coins. If it was to-day they would have been long gone.
