View of the Shaftesbury Hotel at the junction of York Road and Harehills Lane, as seen from Rookwood Avenue. Osmondthorpe Lane runs across from centre left to join York Road. The Shaftesbury, built on the site of the former St. Alban's vicarage, was shortly to be demolished with work having already started on removal of the roof.
