1962. View shows a group of extras preparing for the shooting of a scene in the film 'Billy Liar' on an area of cleared ground off Green Lane. The film, which starred Tom Courtenay and was directed by John Schlesinger, was nominated for 6 BAFTA awards, including one for Best British Screenplay for Keith Waterhouse (who wrote the original book) and Willis Hall from Leeds.
