Description:
1962. View shows actors taking a break during the shooting of the film 'Billy Liar' on a cleared area just off Green Lane. They are playing soldiers in the fictional land of Ambrosia, part of a dream experienced by the title character. Based on the book by Leeds author Keith Waterhouse, 'Billy Liar' was directed by John Schlesinger and starred Tom Courtenay.
