Seacroft Branch Library, Interior view
1964. View of the brand new interior of Seacroft branch library which opened in the June of 1964. It is a large open plan space with the entrance, then counter, visible in the background. A large desk and chair are seen left of centre, with waste paper basket. It possibly belongs to the librarian. Seating and tables are arranged in groups for private study or just reading. More comfortable, reclining chairs are provided with tables constructed at a lower level. The library is situated in Seacroft Crescent.

User Comments:

That is so spooky -- the inside of the library now looks just the same - thats nearly 50 years on !!! must be the most preserved place in Seacroft !
