Description:
1965. Image shows the interior of Belle Isle Branch Library which opened in 1965. A young boy sits reading in the junior section of the open plan space. Comfortable seating has been arranged around low tables to the right. The main entrance in the background, right, has a display area with glass shelving. The library is situated on Aberfield Gate off Belle Isle Road.
