View of the newly built Belle Isle Branch Library. It is a single storey, open plan space divided by free-standing book shelves and seating. Bench seating follows the line of the windows and tables have been provided for study. In the foreground there is a more relaxed area with comfortable chairs and low tables. The library, located in Aberfield Gate, off Belle Isle Road, opened in 1965.
