View of the Gascoigne family in the terrace garden of Lotherton Hall. Standing to the left is Colonel Frederick Richard Thomas Trench-Gascoigne (1851-1937). Next to him is his daughter, Cynthia (1898-1990) and standing beside her, his son Sir Alvary (1893-1970). Seated in front on the right is Mrs. Laura Gwendolen Douglas Trench-Gascoigne, wife of Colonel Gascoigne (died 1949.) On the left is the first wife of Sir Alvary, Sylvia Gascoigne, nee Wilder, whom he married in 1916. They divorced in 1935 and Sir Alvary then married Lorna Priscilla Leatham.
