View of a Leeds Double Decker Tram Car 289 at Kirkstall Abbey. This was part of a batch of cars built at the works in Kirkstall Road and completed in 1912. They had reversed stairs, a seating capacity in the lower saloon of 22 and in the upper saloon of 34. This particular tram, number 289 of the batch (numbering from 283-292) was described in a newspaper article of 28th February 1914 as 'ideal for Leeds'.
