View taken around the 1960s of Woodside Works, the premises of WDS Tooling Aids Ltd. Formerly Aire Vale Dye Works, it was for many years operated by Whitaker and Aykroyds Ltd. who speciealised in dyeing cottons. It was in an ideal location situated between the River Aire and the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, and was also close to Newlay and Horsforth Station, from which it had its own rail connection as seen by the rail tracks here.
