I was in Miss Ward's class when I was 9, in 1961/2, so I missed being in this photo by 7 or 8 years! Miss Ward was lovely, an inspiring teacher. I used to travel by bus from Wyther Park every school morning, and got travel sick ( in truth I think I might have been bullied by a girl at the school, but the memory is hazy )and tried to persuade my Mum, who travelled with me, to keep me off school. Miss Ward, sensible woman, used to meet me off the bus and take my hand and walk me up to school, thus putting paid to my desire to play hooky! I soon settled down again, and stopped feeling sick on the bus and I loved my year in her class, and learned such a lot. Does anyone from 'our' years have a school class photo, from 1958/9 when we would have been in Miss Pullan's class, or 1959/60 when we would have been with Mrs. Hobson, or 1960/61 ( Mrs. McGettrick )? Someone out there must have one they could post? I'm sure I had one taken in our very first year, '58/'59 but, alas, it's now lost.
