Stanningley and Farsley Carnival, horse-drawn carriage
Undated. View shows a decorated horse-drawn carriage at the Stanningley and Farsley Carnival, carrying what may be the Carnival Queen and her attendants. This popular event organised by Stanningley and Farsley Workpeople's Hospital Fund took place annually around the early part of the 20th century. A procession including comic bands and decorated floats from local mills paraded around the streets of Stanningley and Farsley before gathering in a field off Stanningley for various entertainments.
