Wortley 'Clippies'

c1920s. Group portrait of Wortley 'clippies', bus or tram conductresses. They wear warm uniforms including a military style coat with a collar and a peaked cap. The Leeds badge is displayed on the front of the cap. Each of the young women have a leather bag for fares and a ticket dispenser plus a whistle on a chain hanging from the shoulder. An arrow points to a smiling Clara Morris in the centre.
