Description:
Undated. Image shows detail on the exterior of St. Augustine's Church in Harehills Road. The Roman Catholic church dates from 1936 when it was built to replace a temporary wooden and corrugated iron structure. The figure of St. Augustine is sculpted in stone and mounted on a corbel over the main entrance. His hand is raised in Benediction.
