c1911. Postcard showing the Women and Children's Hospital situated on Woodbine Place/Coventry Place. The Hospital for Women and Children first opened in 1853 on East Parade and transferred to this location in 1861. It was opened by the Earl of Carlisle in October of 1861. It later changed is name to the Hospital for Women at Leeds and in 1974 moved to Roundhay Hall leaving the old buildings to be demolished. The postcard has a postdate 15th April 1911.
