View of the store room at Ardill & Co., a family firm of three generations who manufactured metal checks or discs. The company was based at Ridge Works in Meanwood Road. At this time it would have been run by the grandson of the founder, Brian Ardill, who was born in 1907. His wife Eleanor Mary, or 'Mollie' as she was known, continued the business for a few years after his death in the early 1960s.
