Image shows The Old Golden Fleece, once situated on Churwell Hill, Elland Road. It has recently been pulled down (2010) to make way for a new branch of Tesco Express. The pub was built in 1934 and replaced an earlier Old Golden Fleece. The Melbourne Brewery sign on the front of the building, depicting a bowing courtier, has now been incorporated into the external wall of the new Tesco building, due to open in 2011.
