Postcard with a postmark 15th May 1914 showing views of Leeds Training College at Beckett Park. This teacher training college had recently opened (1913) but was soon to be taken over as a military hospital during the First World War. Later part of the City of Leeds Carnegie College then Leeds Polytechnic, it is now (2011) a campus of Leeds Metropolitan University. As well as the main teaching block (top centre), there are views of several halls of residence : Macaulay Hall, Priestley Hall, Bronte Hall, Leighton Hall and Caedmon Hall.
