Near Adel Crags, postcard
Description:
c1911. This coloured postcard, entitled 'Near Adel Crags', shows Bridge Cottage on Stairfoot Lane. Seen from Stairfoot Bridge, it looks east towards Alwoodley. Bridge Cottage is believed to date back to before 1682 as it appears on a map of this date, occupied by Richard Wrigglesworth who farmed 36 acres of marginal land. The postcard bears a postmark of 1911. Today, a hundred years later, the cottage still exists but is now surrounded by woodland.

I'm having a bit of trlboue connecting to Moleskine's corporate server for this project. But I'm also confused by the project's scope. I think of a postcard as something that is supposed to glued together and mailed to Moleskine. Maybe one places this mask directly on top of one's moley drawings or prose. I'm not seeing the exercise validated by merely shooting through a tiny mask held up in front of a digital camera. The depth of field and focus issues are beyond the capabilities of most point-n-shooters.david boise ID

It's amazing that the woodland there is only one hundred years old. Some of those huge beech tree's look much older than that! Today there is a car park on the RHS of stairfoot lane half way up. On the left is woodland that has been made into a 'make-shift' BMX track.
