New Library and Police Station, postcard
1904. Postcard with a postdate of 18th April 1904 showing the new building housing Chapel Allerton Branch Library (right) and Police Station (centre). Situated at the junction of Harrogate Road (in the foreground) and Town Street, it had opened earlier that same year. On the left of the picture is no. 30 Harrogate Road, Christiana Silversides, grocer.

Very interesting photo of the Old Police Station my Grandfather was a Police Officer at, in approx 1919.Then from 1928 he was Resident Constable at Main Street Shadwell.His name was William Thomas Roberts and his collar number was PC125. He retired in September 1937.
